My flight school is trying to work a deal on a T-34 Mentor. Everyone can’t wait to fly it
I won’t be able to fly it anytime soon. It has retracts, a high performance engine, and a top speed over 300 mph! Woooo! Now I really want to fly it!
I did some digging and found out it was based on my favorite plane, the V-tail Bonanza!
Inside, it’s about as basic as it gets, at least in the copilot seat. I’ll have to grab a pic of the front seat tomorrow so I can see what nav gear it has installed.
If I can’t pilot it, perhaps I can get a ride. Someday.

What a cute plane. What year would this be?

Oh dearly, please let me know how this ends up. I've always wanted one but we weren't gentle with these things during training.

I’m not sure about this one, but they were first produced from 1053 to 1958.A modernized version was produced from 1975 to 1990.

Sweet. That canopy alone makes me want to go for a ride.

From an air show in Ft. Worth a few years ago. I don’t remember who the pilot was. She was great, though. I’ve written about the Mentor. They made a turboprop version too
